SPOTLIGHT | ADAM BRIGHAM Serif's New Intern

A few months ago, Adam Brigham reached out to us to see if we had any intern openings. We receive a lot of resumes and people seeking to intern at Serif (between 10-15 a week). Adam, however, was very persistent and continued to follow up with us. He has an amazing reel that impressed us and we just got an overall good vibe from him. We want to thank Adam for joining us for the summer. He’s already grinding and making things happen around here.

Q: Where are you from?

A: I’m from Wyalusing, Pennsylvania; a small town in northeast PA.

Q: What is your education background?

A: I am a senior at the Ohio State University where I study Strategic Communications and Media Production.

Q: What makes you come alive?

A: Three things make me feel alive: Jesus, spending time with my family and friends, and going to the movie theater.

Q: Why are you interested in storytelling?

A: I have a passion for storytelling because I love drawing people to emotion. I love seeing someone experience something deeply through the work I have done.

Q: What are your 5 favorite movies? Choose wisely.

A: 1. The Dark Knight (big Christopher Nolan fan) 2. Star Trek (new reboot: Big JJ fan too) 3. Apollo 13 4. Hot Rod 5. Pearl Harbor

Q: What’s the best advice ever given to you?

A: I think the best advice I’ve been given is to just get out and do things. Go make movies, go tell stories, go chase your dreams. Take risks and don’t sit around waiting for things to fall in your lap because they won’t.

Q: Why did you decide to join Serif?

A: I wanted to join Serif because I believe in the work that is done here. There is something that is rare about finding a group of people that pour their hearts and souls into their work and who are people of honesty and integrity. I was once told to surround myself with the best people possible, and that’s exactly what I’m trying to do.

Q: What’s the worst job you’ve ever had?

A: My dad once had a whole tractor trailer load of logs delivered to our house that I had to help saw into boards, and then stack the boards three floors up in our barn. That was a rough summer.

Q: Coffee, water, or tea?

A: I love all of them, but I especially love a good cup of coffee.
